Why Bob? Why? You wouldn’t say any of that to any of their faces. Please stop this kind of stuff. Please.

The kids gave up a lead late against UTC. Don't think Thanksgiving was really on their minds you buffoon. Expected a letdown against Woffy but played hard and just couldn't convert much needed third downs. I can be as critical as anyone but those types of comments truly provide nothing. BTW, even if we had beaten Woffy, only one 7-5 team made the postseason, Holy Cross who was the Patriot champion.

Here goes Mebane again. Another new screen name, because he can't just understand that he is not wanted or welcome in here. He does nothing but bash athletes, because he couldn't ever be one. Looking at your latest pictures on Facebook, Bob-O, and it seems you have been having your Thanksgiving furlough for 30 years too long. Advice to you: PT, PT, PT. Also, push away from the table. You couldn't carry the jocks of these young athletes you continue to bash.

This easily could have been an 8 or 9 win season.

As painful as that was to watch in person, I was a bit stunned to look at the stats.  We beat Wofford in nearly every category (1st downs, total yards, rush yards, passing yards, TOP, etc.) except the score.  Stats don't win games but we still could have had a chance.  We gave up two free TDs by the turnover on down near our red zone and the KO run back to like our 13 yard line.  We were stopped on 4th and 2 four times I think, at least one in the red zone.  Playing a fellow TO team, I would imagine they know how to stop a team on 4th downs, so we should have hit a quick pass/screen or something but QB off tackle; instead we were stopped 6 inches to a foot short each time.  I'm certainly not a coach, so just expressing a thought.
I think the whole atmosphere of the game changed on that first drive when we went out on downs and they scored; the wind went out of the sails never and we never got it back.
Wofford was clearly the better team, but we should have down better; it was the only game this season where we weren't in it until the end.
Taking the deep breath, and wait the 200 something days until we start again.

I thought the spots of the ball by the refs was horrible.  Looked like they we constantly spotting the ball short for us.  Anybody else see the same thing?

That's what I thought.  There were a couple of times when I hollered out to my crowd, "He got it!" only to see them adjust the ball back. Hard to say sitting at the 30 yard line, with the angle most times.

Wofford is the better team this year. Not going to argue that point.

Field position and a long KOR skewed the stats slightly.

One point I do want to make is when Clay Harris rolled over the defender and never touched the ground. However they spotted the ball where the defender was laying on the ground and not where Clay stopped. Clay also made the motion to keep running but the whistle had long been blown.

The last 3 to 4 games the officials were screwing is on the spot almost every play.

We were making fun of the line judge at ETSU calling him “laser.” Wonder if league coaches are talking to the officials about it during the pregame meeting?
