DAWGS lead by 12, 46 - 34 at the half. DAWGs shooting 55% from the floor (40%, 8-20 from 3) & VeeMee only shooting 37% (also 40%, 6-15 from 3).

DAWGs with way TOO MANY TURNOVERS (9), but controlling the boards (20 - 12 rebounding edge), otherwise we'd be leading by 20.

What's up with Kaiden Rice?????  Did not play vs UNCG or the 1st half today.

We are KILLING them in the paint....scoring and limiting their offensive rebounds to ZERO!

Another 2nd half collapse, as the DAWGs blow another 16 point lead to lose by 3, 81 - 78 to lowly VMI.  "Baucom Ball" NEEDS TO GO!!  4 years & we still finish in last place in the SOCON!

We have one more year of Duggar minimum ...

Next year will be a make or break ... 12+ wins he will likely stay. Double digit wins every year ... not common for us.

Our challenge is figuring out how to fill the stands. ... fan support is pathetic ... corps has been better ... we have had great games to watch,

Yea, BUT 9 of those wins have come against:

2018-2019: 12 wins total, but 2 came against Mid-Altlantic Christian & Johnson and Wales (SOCON: 4-14)

2017-2018: 11 wins total, but 3 came against Ogelthorpe, Trinity Baptist, and Point (SOCON: 5-13)

2016-2017: 12 wins total, but 2 came against Johnson University (Florida) and Truett McConnell (SOCON: 4-14)

2015-2016: 10 wins total, but 2 came against Mid-Atlantic Christian, Bob Jones and Vorhees (not to mention a win against USC Upstate, and a loss to PC) (SOCON: 3-15)

In conclusion -

1.  No improvement in overall and SOCON record in 4 years.

2.  Overall a 28.57 winning percentage (16-56) in SOCON play in 4 years.

Do you think you could keep your job with performance like that?!?!?!?!  That's like getting a "Consistently FAILS to Meet Standards" on a civilian Annual Performance Review (with a .500 record in SOCON play as "Meets Standards").

Anything short of a SOCON Championship and a trip to the NCAAs in 2019-20 & I say "SEE YA!".

I get you ... and you’re right, this year was an improvement and another improvement next year will likely play to his favor ... besides it’s not like many care anyways ... maybe the 300 to 500 folks that go to the games, but that isn’t much ...

Improvement?!?!?!  What improvement?!?!?!  4 SOCON wins this year, 5 last year, & 4 the year before.  I don't see any improvement.

The OOC this year is the improvement.  5 years ago, we don't hang let alone beat JMU, South Florida, SEMU, Campbell, and High Point.

MANY as in more than two.  Many means more pressure for large improvement.  We have maybe 500 fans showing up to games.  I got it you care, but our fan base, the ones at the games really hasn't changed much in 20 years (its all the same Alum from my cadet days).  There are a small group of us that are regular.  You caring is wonderful, but you are just one.

Don't get me wrong, Duggar has not lived up to the expectations on hiring from VMI.  I'm probably just preparing for him likely staying longer.

... side note: I've been to give or take 7 or 8 games this season.  One distinct fact I saw ... NO BAND.  The Pep never showed to a game.  Not a band thread, but the leadership for the Director for Band Company right now is a problem as far as I can tell.  Getting tired of excuses and lack of recruiting ...

Is see your point on OOC, but still stay in the big picture, there has not been any improvement from year 1 to year 4.  Only difference I see is we won some of the OOC games we used to lose by 10 points or less, and the games we used to lose by 40 - 50 points we now only lose by 20 - 30.

Interesting note on "NO BAND".  I thought I saw/heard the pep band on SOME of the games I watched on ESPN3/ESPN+.  Back in my day, the Pep Band was at/played EVERY HOME GAME!!

I still say we can catch folks off guard starting with Sanford on Friday. Let’s Go!!!! Season is not over until it’s over for a 1 seed or a 10 seed

Agree.  After we beat Sammy on Friday, we get another shot @ UNCG on Saturday.  The key is to not get out to a 16 point lead!

Oh - and better shoot over 60% from 3!

Read Conroy’s book. There is a quote in it that answers all your questions about our basketball teams.
