Ravens bring Paul Johnson to work with offense - could we see old school in the pros again?

Being a ravens fan I am totally on board with what they are doing. They did get a 1R WR and a 4R WR but that is it. Their WR Corp isn’t built to have a Flacco style QB who is a pocket passer. I see majority run and TE play in their game plan. Jackson is a scrambling QB and they are going to set him up to have running and short pass options at his disposal. He can’t pull a RGIII and keep tanking NFL hits like he did last year with any hopes of lasting as a franchise.

I see a reemergence of the FB more in NFL. Sadly Tyler Renew was a couple seasons to early.

Renew is the head junior varsity coach and an assistant coach in charge of running backs on the varsity team at Ben Lippen HS.

Ben Lippen is a small Christian school here in Columbia. He will not be there long.

That's where he went to HS.

NFL will never use a pure option offense for the obvious reason that you wont risk injuring a megamillion dollar QB. However with the more talented QBs coming into the league playing in the spread option offense in college pro coaches will see the value of allowing the QB to run when the opportunity presents; gotta allow the QB to do what he does best and not just sit back in the pocket all day.
