What say ye?https://www.postandcourier.com/politics/should-citadel-graduates-who-break-the-law-return-their-ring/article_ffac805e-c10a-11e8-9bea-8b26fdf09f2d.html As a matter of honor, if asked, grads should return it. BUT, if convicted of crimes, do they have honor? Also, as the article states, it's a possession, purchased by the individual, and no mechanism to make them return it. This Johnson mess is surely a stain as he wears his during public hearings.

Does that include all crimes or just ones you don't like? There a few grads in this forum who have been convicted or plead nolo contendre to a variety of crimes. If you want to talk HONOR, should all grads who cheat on their wives, their taxes or their timesheets turn in their rings? What about guys who bootleg downloads online? The list goes on and on. Worry about the ring on your own finger. Weren't you fiercely defending the TAC indicted for his interactions with a male cadet? Did you ask for his Ring yet? Didn't think so.

Huntingman just posted an article from the P&C and you tell him to worry about the ring on his finger? Who are you hiding behind a screen name?

Thanks for the backup Cidgrad89. Citadel4lyfe, I have no idea where all of that is coming from. Unless I have gone into deep dementia I don't believe I have ever, much less fiercely, been defending a guy for interactions with a male cadet. Think you must have me confused with somebody. I just thought the story was interesting. And, no, I have cheated on my wife, my timecards, or my taxes.

Wasn't directed at you, so sorry if my comment was too gruff. Saw the article and some comments online and I overreacted. Our grads seem to spend more time worrying about others from their high horses. Again, not you.

Can we ask for Ravenel's ring back? If for no other reason than for participating in that godawful TV show?

How about alum who give money to IPTAY but not the Brigadier club. Or the guy at the last USC game in Columbia standing on the round ramp to the upper level with the Gamecock sweater vest and The Citadel baseball hat.

http://www.indexjournal.com/news/crime/wimmer-gets--month-sentence-must-repay-m/article_ee72b6a4-8266-5f54-8561-d0ada537cfe1.html One more candidate for taking their ring back with an added twist.Ted Andrews, who is married to Wimmer’s mother, Joyce, and has known him since he was 16, said Wimmer’s decisions were based on military training he received while attending The Citadel.
“Every military person is taught, ‘do everything you can to obtain victory.’ When orders came giving you or me an assignment, it came with guidelines on how to complete the mission. Lee had no guidelines furnished,” Andrews said. “I beseech the court not to unduly punish him for a mistake made in the heat of battle.”
From 2015-17, Wimmer paid himself $270,523 in “wages, commissions, bonuses and tips,” according to bankruptcy documents.

As a United States Navy veteran, I was taught to lead, protect and ensure future success of those serving under you. Don't remember anything about greed or theft. 75 months and $700/mo will never be enough.
