If you dont have your tickets yet, you better pull the trigger today as it looks like only a couple hundred of seats left on the home side.  VMI side is completely sold out.

Have we ever actually has a "sellout" in school history where they have no more seats to sell?

Come on man. 1992 against Marshall. We even brought in portable bleachers and sold those out.

That was a "real" sellout of JHS, with over 21K in the stands.

I wouldn't brag about  a "sellout" with today's configuration of only half a stadium (11,500).

I am afraid that the “21K” ship sailed a long time ago. If you look at FCS attendance all over the country, it is way down. Too much youth soccer, travel baseball, TV games, etc.

Per Donnell Boucher, VMI is bringing 500 Keydets to this game, which will help fill up the temporary seating on the east side rather quickly.

The way things a looking right now, this year might be VMI’s best shot at us in a while, with the exception of last year

Last season we averaged about 9300 which was 24th in the nation, (FCS)  Not bad considering a 20K or so alumni base...

If we could take this average to 11K we would be top 15 on the nation.

Socon average is about 7000.  We are 3rd smallest enrollment in the Socon.

Can we beat VMI with Murdaugh and let Rainey time to heal?

BT has already said that you cant keep him off the field...so it is not an option unless he cant walk.

OK, but what gives us the best chance to win - Rainey at 75-80% or Murdaugh at 100%?

I would say that the HC would know more than any of us....never forget his 6 figure job is cemented by winning and not losing.

Tired to get 3 extra seats next to our in Section E - no can do.  Ticket office told me there are no home side seats left except about 100 or so in Section M.  Might be about the closest we've seen to a sell out in awhile, especially if VMI is bringing a bunch of rats.
Hope they don't bring those tough cheerleaders they brought a few years back. VMI Cheerleaders.jpg

At a glance, looks like both the Gamecocks and Tigers have a bye this week, so good for us to pack 'em in.

Hope the tailgate folks come in too to fill the seats.

I have a feeling the tailgating scene is going to be massive. Of course, that doesn't necessarily translate into people in the stadium, but I think we're going to be in good shape on that front regardless this Saturday.
