"The last time The Citadel’s Corps of Cadets missed a home football game was supposed to be just that — the last time.
It was on a Thursday night — Nov. 20, 2004 — when The Citadel defeated Western Carolina by 17-0 at Johnson Hagood Stadium. With the cadets already on Thanksgiving furlough, a hardy band of 3,874 fans ignored the Clemson-South Carolina game that same night to cheer on the Bulldogs, who finished that season with a record of 3-7.
That’s the lowest home attendance for a Citadel football game since at least 1966, which is as far back as attendance records go.

Capaccio seems to be on a steep learning curve.

"Requiring the corps to remain on campus until after the game would have been problematic, given travel plans and other arrangements made in advance." That's total BS!!!! The schedule was released in January 2019. I seriously doubt that anyone had locked in travel plans that far in advance, especially since the current school year did not start until August 2019, 8 months AFTER the schedule was released.

Does that mean they want Alumni to form the Block C before the game?

I second 81 and as I commented on TCSB not only does this violate a BOV mandated policy and there is no reason that furlough could not be delayed a day; we could have been playing for a conference championship but the crybaby millennial cadets are more worried about having a good time and 'spending time with family'. President and Commandant dropped the ball on this one and failed to take some early decisive action.

Capaccio has had the AD position for 15 months now....someone please tell me what he's accomplished during that time? We are still nowhere close to getting the funding for the East Stands and one of his strengths on getting hired was fundraising...Where's the money Mike?? We should have gotten Billy D'Andre from Clemson...SMH.

Well maybe Cadets will show up to the game in their Vineyard Vine uniforms instead of the nasty BDUs.

They have enough trouble corralling the freshmen to form the Block C. I can't imagine how that will work with alumni/other fans/kids/etc. You never know, though...
