OK, I'll start the discussion.  National Signing Day is 18 December 2019 & 5 February 2020.

Who do we expect to sign on 18 December & how many do we think we'll sign?

My understanding is that we have only 8-10 to sign for 19/20.  We may sign all but one or two in Dec.   We will see but if all the knobs come back and some 5th years come back that is my understanding.

We have 12-15 schollies to give as I count it. Trying to get 10-12 early. We always need to leave 3 or 4 open for Feb. and one for a summer plum transfer.

The State is loaded this year and the Southeast knows it. Lots of schools coming in and recruiting SC this year. Plus you have two out of state teams who are familiar with our HS Coaches, ECU and GaState. Luckily for us we look for niche kids that fit our system on offense. On defense lots of teams are looking for DL and many are switching to the 3-4 to combat the spread offense. DL are a knife fight in the recruiting wars.

Plus the last two classes have a lot of talent, and we have not seen it all yet.

This week Brandon Walker from Riverbluff was named first team all State. 6'0" 200 pounds. Can play a couple of positions but I think he may fit in at Bullback. I think we need one more Bback to spell the two we have. He can play on both sides of the ball. We have a highly thought of kicker coming in from NC, one Kicker from Orlando, an OL from Virginia and a DE from FL. Lets hope these make it thru the next 2 weeks of recruiting wars.

We are going to need to sign 1 or 2 qbs, always 2 or 3 dbs and then as many Lineman as we can. There are some good linebackers we are in on but we have signed some good lbs the last two years so I think they would have to be pretty special to get an offer this year. The State is loaded at A back but we only lose 1 so I am not sure how many the staff is thinking here. I can say they have offered some kids that are very very well thought of. One in Texas that has been offered would be the best A back in the state if he lived in SC. I think 1 WR would be needed to make up when Webb leaves after next year.

We should start to see some things moving now that the T'giving holidays are over.

Hope we sign 1 or 2 kickers. Only kicker on the current roster to replace Godek is Joshua Roides, & he hasn't seen any game action in 3 years.

Roides is gone. He walked the field on Sr. Day. Campbell can kick fieldgoals also.

Who?

The kid at Western Alamance is the #1 kicker in the entire country.

He’s going to Stanford.
