Lew had class DROPPED without his knowledge and lost eligibility per NCAA rules.
Was not flagged as “athlete” in the system at school

Imagine being the best player on your basketball team division one at a small school and still the administration doesn’t know who you are

That was a miserable loss.

Dogs are hanging a bit with Samford, so I think if he was there we'd be in this.

Bad first half. No cohesive offense w/o Stallworth. Shows how good that kid was.

Guess the wheels came off early though in 2nd half.  Quickly down by 25.  I've seen our guys come back many times this year, but 25 is a bit rough.   3's just aren't dropping, and they aren't missing much.

Nice that Higgins just hit back to back 3s.  Looks the heir apparent to Stallworth next year, so good to get this experience.

Good news is that the baseball team is up 10-1 heading to top of the ninth against CSU.

Outcome would have been the same with Stallworth.  Yes, good young men, do things the right way, but this was a typical game for a Citadel team during the Baucom era:

Opponent shoots over 60% from the field and 45% from 3, while we shoot under 40% from the field and under 30% from 3, and the opponent shoots 20 more FTs than we do.

Unfortunately, I do not see anything that tells me we will be any better next year.  I'm predicting we go 5 - 13 in the SOCON & again finish in last place.  You heard it hear first.  At the end of next year, you can  quote me on this. Not being negative, just realistic.

That simply is not true. No coaches, administrators or compliance were at fault.

That story stinks something bad ... so he was going to drop the class after the tourney? Was he planning on being a student the week after? Whatever, disappointing... Duggar has a year, but his career here is a mess. Very disappointing...

Wish Zane and Matt could have gone out on a better note. Greatly appreciate all they have done for the program. Plenty of positives for them.

My guess is a lot of transfer guys do this. Have one class that they may drop after the season and they had to have it to have the minimum credits allowed. He wasn’t at The Citadel because they have an amazing graduate program, he was there to play one more year of basketball.

I wouldn’t question his motives or integrity because we truly don’t know but our academic staff should have been all over this.
