GT beats USF 14-7. USF lost to Wisc 49-0 last week. Numbers are positive for us. Must play flawless and not give up big plays. Go Dogs!!

This will be a real confidence builder if we can win, or worst case, play even.  I have not idea what happened in Elon, but I think the team that played Towson can stay with Tech . . . .

If the team that played Elon shows up we will get run out of Atlanta by halftime!  Both sides of the ball were bad, very bad!

Look at it this way:

The team that beat Ellen 24 - 21, got blown out by Duke (YES, DUKE!!!) 45 - 13!!!!

and this after Duke got blown out by Alabama 42 - 3 in week #1, and it wasn't even that close (Alabama led 35 - 3 at the end of the 3rd qtr).

No excuse for our team’s performance, but Elon’s first opponent (NC A&T) is a good team and was actually leading Duke 10-7 with 3 min to go in the 2nd quarter.

Not a bad showing considering Duke’s Coach Cutcliffe is given guru status for QBs and offense in general.....plus Duke is now a perineal bowl team (6 bowls since 2012 winning three of them).

Go Dogs!

Maybe I hadn't picked up on it, but was watching the Braves today and saw the advertisement for Fox Sports South East that the will broadcast the game Saturday.  So, works out for you if you can't make it and have FSSE.

I'll be there with my folks though, so will miss this broadcast.y

I hate to say this, but I never felt we had anyone on the ropes the last two weeks. Our defensive line gets pushed around so bad that a standard 4-3 defense does not work and there is not enough pressure in the center to facilitate the 3-4 blitz. Hence, when Towson and Elon needed a score the only way they weren’t getting one was to drop the ball. Interceptions were off the table because we had no rush. I thought we would be better but, what’s new, I have thought that for 62 years. Been right a few times.

Does anyone know if one of the Citadel Clubs will be holding a pre-game lunch outside the Tech stadium this week?  Would like to take the family to it.
Thanks!

TV info...

Obviously the game will be on the radio as usual. This week, it will also be televised and streamed on various regional sports networks.

If you live in the southeast, the game should be on Fox Sports Southeast, except for (according to the ACC's website) Kentucky and some regions of North Carolina. In those areas (Raleigh/Durham, Wilmington, New Bern), it will be on Fox Sports South.

Elsewhere:

NESN (New England)
YES (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and eastern Pennsylvania)
AT&T Sports Net Pittsburgh
AT&T Sports Net Las Vegas
AT&T Sports Net Rocky Mountain (Colorado, Utah, northern Nevada, southern Idaho, and pieces of the Dakotas and Kansas)
Fox Sports Southwest (most of Texas; also Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and a piece of New Mexico)
Fox Sports North (Minnesota; I believe it is also available in the Dakotas, the upper peninsula of Michigan, and part of Wisconsin)
Fox Sports Detroit
Fox Sports Midwest (Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, and part of Indiana)
Fox Sports Wisconsin (also including little snippets of the surrounding states)
Fox Sports San Diego
Fox Sports Arizona
NBC Sports Washington (DC)
SportsTime Ohio (northern Ohio)
Prime Ticket (southern California and Hawai'i)
Root Sports Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Alaska)

I apologize in advance if I don't have all the listings quite right; it can be confusing trying to figure out sometimes (and occasionally you have "split" network feeds, too).

If you live in Florida, I do not think the game will be televised live in your area. The same is probably true for parts of northern California and, from what I can tell, Chicago. Check your local listings to be sure, though. I could easily be wrong about some or all of that.

The game can be streamed, depending on where you live, on either Fox Sports Go or ACC Network Extra.

Link to ACC Network Extra (which is on ESPN.com):

This link may come in handy (I got a lot of the above information from it):

I'll update the links and any relevant information if/when it becomes available.

Oh, the TV announcers: Tom Werme, James Bates, and sideline reporter Lindsay Rowley.

Anyone know when our notes will be posted?

My bad, they are up! No changes in the two deep that I can see.

Most predictions have us losing by about 30.  What say you?

I'm the eternal optimist:  GA Tech struggles with their passing game, getting QB in synch with receivers.  They defends us well since their upperclassmen on D has been practicing TO for their Tech careers until now, but we hit a few big plays (Rainey to Webb hits one big one).  Dogs squeak one out, 20-17.
