Starting the thread. Already almost a sellout. Our hungry Dogs are glad to be home and come out with purpose. We win this one 30-17 with TOP heavily on our side. Go Dogs!

Define sellout:  11K?, 12K?

Sellout?  That would be something to see.  Does anyone remember the Sell Out against Marshall back in 92.  Back then, the Old Stadium could see 20K and we added another 3K in portable bleachers. The game was televised as well.

I remember that and was there... I was 11 and my sister was dating one of the starting OL...

Let's try to avoid falling behind early by multiple scores this week. Do that, and I think we have a very good chance.

From game notes - 16.272 in 2007.  Hope we can get near that again.  I will be glad to see if the 11,000 paid figure holds.  It will help if the tailgaters come into the game instead of watching USC, Clemson, etc on their satellite feeds in the parking lot.  Just me, but if you're a Dog fan, you're a Dog fan, and you shouldn't let minor irritant like Carolina and Clemson get in the way of attending Cid games in person.  Sorry to offend (but not really!)

On This Date
In 2007, Tory Cooper scored from five-yards out to give The Citadel a 54-51 overtime victory over Furman in front of 16,272 fans inside Johnson Hagood Stadium.

A healthy does of Lo Ward to start the game will let ETSU know that their run defense is in for a full 4 quarters of run. They have been shutting down the run to make you one dimensional and then coming after the qb. We already are one dimensional so we won't be getting out of our game plan. Just like Mercer we are separating them from the upper echelon and placing them in their rightful spot beneath us.  But it will be close.

Went back and looked quickly at ETSU's box scores, and they really aren't putting a lot of yards up - about 300 something a game on average, about 200 in the air, 100 on the ground.  I didn't watch the games, but looks like there could have been some lucky bounces letting them get out with close SOCON wins (even VMI was 27-24).  If we can dominate the clock like we have been doing, they should score fewer points than they have been, which hasn't been a tremendous amount.  Hoping dogfan has it - pound them with the B Back, run the clock, wear their D line down, and we should nudge them back to their rightful place in SOCON standings.  I'll call it - first game that the Dogs get in front, and stay in front, winning confidently.
