DAWGs hang with ETSU for the first 14 minutes, then Brown hurts his hamstring, and ETSU goes on a 14-0 run in the next 2 minutes to take a 10 point lead, 47-37 with 4 minutes left in the 1st half.  Well played by both teams.  That 2 minute scoreless stretch killed us!  Not getting many offensive rebounds.

14 pts in first 13 min of second half. Can't teach size and we have none.

DAWGs actually played pretty well, except for FT shooting. Decent shooting %, only 9 TOs, and didn’t foul a lot (except for Harris & Reed). Too much experience and height for ETSU with all those transfer players.

Play this well every game, and we finish above .500 in the SOCON.

This loss is not looking too bad, as ETSU beat LSU by 11 ON THE ROAD, 74-63.  Couple that with how Illinois has been playing & it doesn't look so bad.

Maybe this team is not a bad as they looked against UNC-A and Campbell, but we've seen this before:

Destroy the D-II & D-III teams, beat a few mid majors, look decent in a game or 2 against power 5 team and/or the best in the SOCON, and then stink it up in about 15 games against SOCON and Big Suck/CAA teams.

Do I understand that Carver Baptist is actually D1?  Figured they wouldn't even qualify for NAIA.

Campbell is 7-3 and UNCA is 6-4. Campbell has wins over Elon, Coastal Carolina, and Jacksonville. UNCA has a nice win over Charlotte and a one point loss to WCU who has played Florida State and Xavier close.

According to the NCCAA website 57 of the schools are D1 and 35 are D2; Carver is actually D1

NO - NCCAA is different from NCAA D-I, D-II, D-III.

They are like the old NAIA.

The NCCAA is broken down in to 2 divisions: DI & DII.  They have Men's basketball DI and Men's basketball DII.  Carver is in DI.

It's like the NCAA divides FB in to D-I, D-II, and D-III.  Us playing Carver in basketball is like when we play North Greenville, Webber International or Chowan in football.

I was just going by what Carver's website had. Said they were a member of NCCAA???
I think they're Division 1 under the NCCAA, Not NCAA. They have a picture from last year on website with banner that says, NCCAA Western Regional Champions, Division 1. They beat Southern Wesleyan College.

You are correct.  Playing a team from NCCAA is like playing an NCAA D-II or D-III or even lower team.  Just above HS - barely;  Like playing a Community College team.
