The Jacksonville Jaguars have promoted rookie cornerback Dee Delaney to the active roster from the practice squad. A roster spot was created when linebacker Donald Payne (knee) was placed on the team’s reserve/injured list.

Jacksonville's next game is in London at Wembley Stadium this Sunday, against Philadelphia. Kickoff is at 9:30 am ET on the NFL Network.

Delaney finally gets to play w/ about 4 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter when one of the CBs gets hurt.  No  mention that he went to The Citadel;  Announcers referred to him as an "undrafted Free Agent from the "U".  College is listed as "Miami (Fla.)" on both ESPN and the Jaguars website. As far as everyone is concerned he never played for us, just U of M.  Sad.

He is 100% a Bulldog. Any pic I've seen with him out of uniform, he is wearing the ring. His mom has been at almost all home Citadel football games over the last 2 years. He has a BYE week and said he will be here on Wednesday to see his 'brothers'. He can't control what they report. When he was at Miami, they always referred to him as a 5th year from The Citadel. Let's just support him!

Agree.  Unfortunately, to the outside world, they will never know he is a Cid grad.  Only if HE or we tell people.  The media, Jaguars, & the NFL do not recognize him as coming from The Citadel.

If he becomes a full time starter....players have some say in the press and announcer notes.  At that point, if he wants to say "The Citadel".....they'll do it.  As a new add to the roster, I suspect they're just going off the scant notes they have on him.

As for right now, it is just great to see him on the active roster and getting some time on the field.

Go Dogs!
