10-5 loss.  With an overall record of 9-20, some glaring statistics so far this season:

PITCHING

WALKS:  Us 127, opponents 82

HBP: Us 36, opponents 14

WP:  Us 42, opponents 22

FIELDING

Errors: Us 61, opponents 32

HITTING

Batting avg:  Us .232, opponents .266

I could go on, but it is too depressing.  Lots of work to do for this team!

If the coach's son is the best shortstop we have then we need to recruit NOW. We can't hit, play defense or pitch (besides the weekend starters). Turning into basketball mediocrity. Get used to it.

We did not get to this point in one or two years and we will not fix it in one or two years. I have faith that Tony will do the job.

He's got 5 years to right the ship.  We are in year #2.  My understanding is that when The Citadel hires HCs, they get an initial 5 year contract, and are just about guaranteed that they will not be fired prior to the end of that contract.  School does not have the $$ to buy out the contract.  I believe each year that the W/L record is above .500, they get a 1 year extension.

So in basketball, next year will be year #5 for Baucom.  If the team finishes above .500, he'll get a 6th year.  Otherwise, he's gone.

We allowed FJ to stay too long or he did so on his own volition to pad his retirement. Either way right now TS is not to blame.

Tony will get things turned around.... will take another year or 2.  He is the right person at the right time for the job

I knew Jordan screwed this program up, but never thought it was as bad as we are seeing now.
