I totally disagree with the comments that we should not play CAA teams.  This is exactly who we should be playing for OOC games and gearing our program to find a way to win.  How does playing or beating teams from weaker conferences prepare for us for a playoff appearance.  If we get into the playoffs by beating weaker teams, does this really make us a good playoff team?  I'm much more excited about Towson coming to our stadium next year than many other choices out there.  I would even argue that two CAA games per year is better than playing Alabama for cash.  Just an opinion and we know what those are worth.

ElCID96 Nice idea on playing more CAA people, however we need those big checks to be able to keep the athletic department open.

Towson dismantled #13 Stony Brook 52-28. Flacco 23/33 319 yds 4 TDs. Mark my words, he is a top 3 Walter Payton award finalist. Towson may be the best team in the CAA.

We have played a number of very good teams. Wofford, Towson, UTC and played good. We are almost there. Keep improving each week. Start with a victory over a surprise team ETSU.

Having watched the games we've played so far, we might not be as bad as our record would indicate, or it seems :

Our opponents have an overall record of 15 - 6 (9 - 3 in conference) with 3 of those losses coming to FBS teams, Chatty's 2 losses coming against the 2 undefeated teams in the SOCON, and Mercer's 2nd loss to us:

Towson lost to WF

Woffy lost to Wyoming

Mercer to Memphis

The remaining teams on our schedule (not including Alabama) have a combined record of 12 - 17. We should be able to win most if not all of them.  It appears the toughest of them is ETSU @ 5 - 1.

Coach says dirty pool by Navy in providing Towson with ammo to defend against TO teams . . . .

Well, week 6 and we have only played one home game.  Time to get back to Chucktown.

Agree that we should play more CAA teams... merely because I live in MD and can make more games!

Hate that we cant figure out how to run a business (football program) without playing P5 Conference Schools.  New Unis and turf are great but we are essentially wasting a game against a team we know we will loose against.  Least in 2015 Carolina was beatable..

These guys project the CAA to have 6 teams in, with SOCON only having Wofford as an autobid.  Kinda slanted view to think that teams 5 and 6 down in one conference should get votes of other strong conference #2s and 3s.

The three top leagues in FCS have 14 ranked teams. CAA-6, Big West-4, MVFC-4. Unfortunately, this year the SOCON is mediocre at best.

Is it mediocre, or we beating each other up?

Combination of the two. IMHO, balance doesn't necessarily correlate to strength.
