Hope everyone had a great Christmas. My sister-in-law gifted a really cool coffee mug and when I asked where she found it, she sent the link to this website.

I recognized the block C with spike but didn’t know we used a soldier riding a horse. Anyways, thought this was another option outside the bookstore (which doesn’t always update its website) and sites like fanatics.

That's not Spike, its the old "Leaping Bulldog" but '85 was about the time the new spike logo was introduced.  I don't  see any soldier riding a horse.

You’ve got to click on the Citadel Bulldogs link towards the top of the page.

I suppose “vintage” in the web address is why they’re selling the old leaping bulldog (we called him spike too back then). I like clean looking Spike and Shako logo too. It came about about 1987 by my recollection (about the same time coach Charlie T arrived).

I don’t remember a soldier on the horse....must be older corps than my association with the school (approx 1984).

I like mixing in the old school stuff along with the new. Hated the SC state outline with the block C at first....now I like it a lot and have a bunch of gear with newer logos.

Go Dogs!

Heres a better look at the soldier logo. That script is just AMAZING.

never seen the guy on a horse image and have no idea what it has to do with the Cid.  While I like the nostalgia of the 'leaping bulldog' I do think the newer Spike logo is much sharper and more original; one big problem with the leaping bulldog is that it looks too much like the South Carolina sports logo.

There is also a cool logo of some Bullpups marching and they spell out The Citadel. I will try to post it but it is in bad shape. I bought it off ebay about 10 years ago and tried to make a t shirt out of it.

Also on that website was an interesting choice of program covers to reproduce, one in which we lost the game to WVU. Good site though.
