We beat Limestone today 28-10 today, strong win against a team not that bad.  They were 3-1 entering this match.

Watched some of it. I guess they don't start with the lower weight categories. Not a big follower but if someone can clue me in on how they organize the duals it would be greatly appreciated.

Jaxdog,
They had an opponent in every weight but 141.  I believe you get the same number of points as a pin if they forfeit a weigh.  I think they draw on where to start and the match today started at 184 to 285 and then back to 125 through 174.  I am just a fan not an expert on it.

Thx Cid68. Draw to start and then roll through the rotation. Makes perfect sense. BTW, think they can turn down the PA system in MFH a bit. Loud, very loud.

Pin is called a Fall. A Fall, Forfeit, Disqualification and Default score 6 team points in a dual meet. If you don't have a wrestler for a weight class, that's a forfeit. Yes they do draw to determine what weight class to start with. It adds a little unpredictability to the process. There is some gamesmanship involved in wrestling.

See that Marshall Haas won 197 at Reno - great job! His dad, Chris, and I served together at Joint Staff, and then years later when I was at European Command and he commanded Special Operations Command Europe.  Marshall was a do-everything guy on the Patch HS football team competing all over Europe, and I figure he would have done well playing football for us.  At the same time though, he was winning European DoD wrestling championships, and the Dogs made a good call to pull him in.  Congrats Marshall.  Hope to see you in the NCAAs.
