There is no question that standards for incoming freshmen (at least in terms of SAT scores, etc.) have risen over the last two decades.

true but I'm finding it hard to believe they are too high for females especially given the competition we have, sounds like an excuse.
As an FYI the % of women at the FSAs ranges from 15 at wepo to 23 at canoe u. They may cut some slack on admission standards for female athletes but with an acceptance rate of around 12% probably not much.

I had a 980 and had a partial track scholarship. I did well academically here, this place straightened me out. Graduated with a mid 3 GPA.
This place is most effective with students who underperform in high school who need the discipline and structure to take it to the next level. Who knows what really is the standard now. I find it hard to believe that a 2.0 and go with a 800 something SAT who is a stellar athlete couldn't get in. __________________ Go Dogs!
