The new president will be announced late tomorrow afternoon.  BOV will vote sometime tomorrow then several procedural matters will take place.  After all that, Fred Price will make the announcement and I have no idea who it may be.

All this is according to a BOV member, so if it does not happen as predicted, don't shoot the messenger.

I'd be happy with General Brown or General Walters.  Allyn embarrassed himself publicly and Ferriter just doesn't have the qualifications of the first two.

In the public interview published in The Brigadier he referred several times to "The Citadel University."  The paper reported that several people laughed the first time he said it and he did it again.

During a presentation at The Citadel, he referred to The Citadel as Citadel University many times.

He's been involved in this process for several months, but has not learned the proper name of the school he wants to lead.

It is sort of like a presidential candidate of Stanford University referring to Stanford as Samford University.

He apparently was in Charlie Company as a cadet. A former Cat! Good to see Murray Barracks represented...

Glenn was a fellow Charlie company brother. We haven’t seen much of him since graduation as he’s been busy accumulating a collar full of stars. He was was well respected by all the guys and everybody is happy for Glenn and for The Citadel. As Gen.Rosa had the persona of a fighter pilot,Glenn is all Marine.I look forward to seeing how his tenure as President turns out.

I met him at the DC Muster last year, I was impressed. I didn’t know any of the other candidates, so I don’t know how he compared, but I’m confident The Citadel is in good hands. Also good to have a Marine who is an alumni at the wheel.

I was told he is originally from Vienna Va.

Also one of two 4 stars in the Marine Corps.

Interesting both alumni candidates were class of 79.

Right about both being '79.  Though not selected, believe my other classmate, Mike Ferriter, would have done a fantastic job if hired.  Either way, Cid is in good stead with the way it turned out.

I am hearing nothing but good things about the new President from alumni young and old. Sounds like a win. Also I talked to a '61 grad last night who had just finished writing a letter to General Rosa commending him on a job well done and thanking him for his years of service.
