Kris Copeland from Cane Bay verbaled per multiple sources including Jeff Hartsell and Shedrick Moorer of the Inside Blitz.

Runs a legit sub 4.4 forty yard dash, played multiple positions but I bet Coach Gunter can't wait to see him on special teams.  North South Offensive MVP last week. This year he took 3 KOs to the house and 1 punt. Averaged 11 yards per carry during his career.

Small speedy guy who appears to have great running feel and incredible burst speed. Stump was listed in the NFL at 5’9” 188lbs. Copeland is 5’8” 160lbs.

Looks like this guy de-committed. Something tells me he was using us as a way to garner more attention. He'll wind up at the bottom of the Sunbelt somewhere. If these kids could see a little bit further into the future… And see what their degrees going to get them

I have no idea on that  His coach was quoted in the local paper as saying he would be taking an official visit in January.

He tweeted he was opening his recruiting back up.

We are his biggest offer to date . Most of his other offers are smaller FCS schools and d2.

Probably waiting for what was behind door #3 instead of taking the sure thing door#1. Its a gamble playing that game at his size.

Offer him a preferred walk on spot... should have stayed. But we got two beast 3-Star RBs now. As they say one bird in the hand is worth two in the bush

If that’s the case, then why in the heck did we offer him a scholarship? Doesn’t make sense. I think he doesn’t want The Citadel education, which is fine. If it’s grades, must have been a catastrophic fall semester for him.
