You mean "Sammy in trouble after Kennesaw State scores 3 TDs in the 2nd."

Sammy down by 11, 28 - 17 w/ 1 minute left.

Sammy loses to KSU, 28 - 17.  KSU plays #3 seed, Jacksonville State, next week.

2964 at Elon. How much did that bid cost them. At least FU would have drawn 6k+.

San Diego (Pioneer, non scholly) whipped Northern Arizona. This is the second time the Toreros have knocked a scholarship team out of the playoffs (they did it to Cal Poly too).

NAU was the 3rd Big Sky team in, and Eastern Washington probably should have gotten the bid. McNeese State got "Woffed" too, probably should have been in.

But if SD doesn't win these games, the only debate is whether the Pioneer should be taking up spots in the first place. Instead, the debate is whether or not the team they beat should have been in.

Fu playing Woffy in the playoffs.....Sheesh!  Rooting for both teams to lose, stomach flu, biblical frog infestation, swarm of palmetto bugs, zombie apocalypse, a stray volcano eruption....you name it.

Purple makes me puke......& the rat dogs suck......et cetera, et cetera, et cetera!

Come on recruit signing day and the Bulldog Spring Game!

Give 'Em Hell Citadel.....Go Dogs!!!!!!!

I still hate it how they work knocking out SOCON teams against each other be 2nd round. There is some cost, regionalization, etc. Got it, bUT the committee looks to ensure only one SOCON team can move forward.

With all these coaching vacancies popping up at the big schools, can anyone explain why Mike Houston hasn't been mentioned for any of them?  Surely he would be an awesome candidate for a few of them!

The SoCon lost an opportunity to make real noise in the playoffs when Samford crapped the bed. They had a pathway or at least two rounds without ever having to see another SoCon opponent and they blew it (though their KSU game was also a rematch).

This is part of the reason the conference has taken backseat to the CAA and the MVFC in terms of playoff spots. Our teams generally eliminate each other early in the playoffs due to regionalization.

The "committee" needs to seed the teams 1-24, just like in the basketball tourney, & let the chips fall where they may.  If that means Vermin has to go to California, so be it.

We need a crap conference with the same geographical footprint as the Southern. That way, when playoff pairings are made, our lowest ranked SoCon playoff team gets paired against the shi+ team from the crap conference. With this, it's a virtual guarantee multiple teams from the SoCon are beyond the first round and perhaps further. Also, if a program from the crap conference starts showing potential, poach them.

Wait, this sounds familiar......

Even with another FCS Championship I don't think Houston will go to a big school.  need to be at the lower FBS level for another couple years after JMU.
