F Clemson.

Dabo is a coach who I don't care for and I refuse to bow down at the altar of Dabo. I hope they lose to Carolina. In a few years or less he will be coaching at Alabama and Clemson fans will be crying.

OK, someone explain this to me:

I was watching highlights on Youtube.  On 1 play the Clemsuck receiver catches the ball along the sideline & it looks like our CB (#23, Tyus Carter) stops & gives up on the play because he "thinks" the receiver stepped out of bounds. When he realizes that the play is still live, he gives chase but it's too late - the receiver already has 2 steps on him & he streaks down the sideline for a TD.

What's up with that?!?!?!?!

It seems as if the entire team was out of sorts the entire season.  They just didn't seem to have the same focus, fire, grit, & determination as the last 2 years.  I don't know what it is, but this years team just did not seem to play with the same "kick a$$" attitude as the last 2 years.  It was there in spots, but not consistently all game, every game.  Something was missing.

Also, our coaching staff is young.  When Mike Houston came in, he was a veteran HC (albeit @ D-II) w/ a veteran staff, particularly the coordinators.

After he left, the staff got younger & has less experience.  This is Thompson's 1st HC job @ the college level, & both coordinators are young.  They are learning on the job & making mistakes.  And these mistakes are costing us games.

Give them 2 more years - 2018 & 2019 w/ still be "rebuilding years", not just in terms of the players, but for the coaching staff as well.

We should be on top of the SOCON & FCS by 2020.  Write that down.

. Agree also, he has a young team that needs real game reps including using the same playbook that his starters use instead of a handoff every play (which they could have done the entire game). It is why big teams pay schools like us to play them, for your guys getting real game experience.

I have concerns about BTs ability to motivate, watching him in post game and weekly press conferences he seems too laid back and not very concerned about our poor performances Methinks he needs to kick it up a couple notches and start lighting some fires under some butts

Brent Thompson has never been accused of being too laid back, maybe just the opposite.

I see a lot of Clemson “Apologists” on this thread...How many of you are Clemson season ticket holders?

Sad and pathetic if you support Clemson (or Carolina) but don’t give a dime to TCBF or the CFA.

p.s. FU#K DABO

And if Coach BT can’t get it done. Mo Daryton and Everette Sands are ready, willing and able to take our program to the top where it belongs.

Another 5-6 or 4-7 season next year and it will be time to evaluate our options.

We were only competitive in 1 of 6 losses this season. Unacceptable

If we don't want teams like clempson to run the score up on us then we should stop them from doing it.

Citadel Men don't ask for mercy they change their situation.

This year we had to perfect storm of bad luck that killed us.  When you add them up you get a 5-6 team.
We will never be deep enough to recover from the personnel losses below-

Last years Sr class had a ton of experience and playmakers.  How many years in school history have we had a RB almost make an NFL roster?  Renew was a player.  Jervey/Mitchell were the only 2 that were better in school history..

All American OL quits football and declines 5th year....Pinson

All American DB tranfers to Miami for his 5th year....Delaney

Both of Renews backup were very capable went down with major/career ending injuries Mcfield/Smith

3 kicked out for drug test results..... I think 2 would have been starters on D

Last years SoCon defensive player of the year Williams did not play the last 4 games (groin injury)

You cant win with freshman and sophomores at any level.  You need Jrs, Srs and 5th year guys especially at El Cid.

With all of that being said I do wish we could become more creative.  The FB dive worked the previous 2 years with experienced OL and Renew but was not nearly effective this season.  Did we ever try anything like a reverse or reverse pass?  We are way too dang predictable IMO on offense.

We ran a reverse for at touchdown at ETSU.  We also ran it several other times but it didn't work.  I remember Cam trying a halfback pass but had to eat it because the receiver was not open.

We had two seniors on offence.. there is a reason why we were like we were this year.  I am looking forward to seeing what emerges after the soph and freshmen who started this year return... just think about what will be with 3-4 years of the same starters..

Never seen such whining about a score. Good grief. If we didn't want them to score then we should have stopped them. Easy as that. Bet the whiners didn't complain when we hung 70+ on Weber International.
