Youth, and lack of experience. They aren't always the same thing. A Junior starting and getting a high number of quality reps for the first time is almost as inexperienced as a true Freshman.

We were both young AND inexperienced in many, many spots on offense.

Just think, the last few game we had Freshmen at both WRs, a Freshman B-Back, and 3 or 4 Freshmen/1st year starters on the O-Line.

I ain't the best math guy, but 7 out of 11 sounds like a really high percentage to me! Another off season of workouts, another Spring of practice, and a summer of work... the boys won't be puppies anymore come August 2018.

Go Dogs!

The Dogs have offered Jake Yurachek from Houston. He is on the 2017 All Houston first team linebacker.   His father was just names the AD at Arkansas.   Brother plays TE for Marshall.

ATH: Milan Howard, Charlotte Catholic, 5-11, 182, SR – MVP of 3A state championship game ran for 2,018 yards and 190 carries and caught 28 passes for 446 yards. Howard had 32 total touchdowns. He sat out the second half of nine games due to blowouts.

Milan just verbaled, big time pick up, hope we can hold him. There will be more than a few schools coming after him.

So riddle me this batman.

How is VMI pulling OL that are beasts at 6'5" plus and we are at 6'0 and 6'2... now granted we go after a certain mobile type OL, but this seems to be one of our biggest gaps on the current team.  If VMI can get beef what are we doing?

Granted that undersized line in 15/16 kicked A$$, but just wondering....

For example:  https://twitter.com/Ajilson12 6'5 305

I am not trying to create a debate just wanting to be reassured.  Clearly what VMI is doing is no way better than the citadel as we are a better program, just what is the gap?

Sense that VMI is a more straightforward running team and dropback passing style. Lineman need to be forward-backward type of blockers. Just guessing. Our guys need to be a bit more agile/lateral type blockers.
